Inspiration

Humans have been making pots for millennia, and the shapes that are both useful and pleasing to look at have emerged repeated across time and cultures. For a lot of my work I draw on that source, but re-interpret it for a different medium. The wood itself serves as inspiration, creating a tension between a form I try to create and the material's own ideas of what it wants to do.
